The problem behind this issue has revealed that Facebook has effectively plugged a vulnerability within Instagram so hackers easily to turn private photos into public.
Hackers send exploit apparently that affected those users who logged in via Instagram’s web interface only, so mobile users were safe the whole time. And the Instagram team says that they have no evidence that any account was ever compromised using this bug.
